Ruthless, massively parallel trial and error with an honest feedback cycle. The key to true performance is elegance, not battalions of special cases, and certainly not the theories of people who do not actually build.

Break rules, but not the ones that matter. Question the ones that merely preserve convention.

The best systems are not designed in isolation. To change the world, we first have to look at the systems that run it: political systems, software systems, social mechanisms, incentives, and infrastructure. Most of what feels inevitable is simply inherited design.

There are no silver bullets, and definitely no laws of physics. Just code, written by people who came before us. Once you realise it can be rewritten, a healthy disregard for the impossible becomes the mantra.

Outcome is impact: the observable consequences outside the systems we create.
